FEATURED IN MODERN LUXURY MAGAZINE -- DYNAMIC WOMEN OF SAN DIEGO

S Curve Strategies President & Founder April Bolduc was featured in Modern Luxury Magazine’s Dynamic Women of San Diego issue:

April Bolduc’s enthusiasm for her current groundbreaking work in the transportation electrification field can be traced back to when she got her first electric vehicle in 2011. A BMW ActiveE, it was only one of 700 in the country at the time, and only the third mainstream EV with the Chevy Volt and Nissan Leaf. “Everyone would ask me, ‘What is that?’ ” remembers Bolduc, who led San Diego Gas & Electric’s EV customer experience team at the time.

While there, she was instrumental in making San Diego the highest regional adopter of EVs in the nation, and that’s when she realized she wanted to launch a business to help other utilities develop their own EV programs.

My mission is to accelerate zero-emission transportation. That could be passenger vehicles, school buses, semi and delivery trucks — anything that will provide the transportation that we need, but do it in a way that’s responsible for our planet.

As the founder of S Curve Strategies, she and her team have since aided not only utilities nationwide—but also school districts and even states like New Hampshire, New York, Missouri, South Dakota, and Colorado—develop and launch transportation electrification programs.

“From a policy standpoint, there are numerous states looking to follow California (which will only sell zero-emission vehicles after 2035), and in many cases San Diego, as to how they’ve been able to implement policies to grow EV adoption,” says Bolduc, who also serves as president of the Electric Auto Association, a global nonprofit that educates communities about the benefits of driving electric.

Her overall mission? To accelerate zero-emission transportation. “That,” she says, “could be passenger vehicles, school buses, semi and delivery trucks…anything that will provide the transportation that we need, but do it in a way that’s responsible for our planet.”
